Identifiable objects on this panel are the two birds (the stork is particularly nice), a possible basket second from the right, and an animal print below the basket. The keyhole-like object on the far right is common on Basketmaker panels. The most interesting theory I've heard of what they may represent is: the womb. The main figure, a classis Basketmaker style anthropomorph, has hanging feet, a feature thought to represent a trance state. |
